MMM-2008 PUBLICATIONS

Submission of Full Length Journal Papers

Arrangements have been made to provide the participants with an opportunity to publish full length papers in the following journals.

[1] International Journal of Multiscale Computational Engineering

The journal is organizing a special issue dedicated to the Fourth International Conference on Multiscale Materials Modeling (MMM-2008). The papers are due on December 15, 2008. There will be an accelerated review process and we plan to publish the special issue on March, 2009. If interested, please submit your article on the journal website

[2] Journal of Applied Physics

A special issue of the Journal of Applied Physics has been arranged for MMM-2008 contributions. All participants, especially the invited speakers, are highly encouraged to submit contributions to this special issue. The submission deadline is December 31, 2008.

The anticipated number of contributions to this special issue is about 50 papers. In your submission, please mention that it is for the MMM-2008 special issue.

[3] Multiscale Modeling and Simulation: A SIAM Interdisciplinary Journal

A special issue of the SIAM Multiscale Modeling and Simulation journal has been arranged for MMM-2008 contributions. This SIAM journal focuses on the fundamental modeling and computational principles of multiscale methods. The submission deadline is December 31, 2008.

[4] International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering (deadline: February 28, 2009)

Please submit an abstract to Ted Belytschko (tedbelytschko@northwestern.edu) by December 1, 2008. You will be informed of the suitability of your paper for the journal special issue within two weeks. The deadline for submission of full length papers is February 28, 2009.

[5] Interaction & Multiscale Mechanics: an International Journal (deadline: March 15, 2009).

Papers presented in MMM-2008 are invited to submit to Interaction & Multiscale Mechanics: an International Journal for publication in a special issue. The deadline for special issue paper submission is March 15, 2009. The submitted special issue papers will receive an accelerated review, and the special issue is expected to be published in the September 2009. The paper submission information can be found at:
