Dear MMM-2008 Participants:

The conference program and schedule have already been posted under Technical Program and Schedule link on 15 July 2008. We are hoping that this will help you arrange your travel and stay in Tallahassee during the conference.

Important Travel Information:

There is a football game in town on Saturday (25 October 2008) right before the conference. On that day and the day before it, it will be difficult to find hotel rooms. The ideal day to arrive in Tallahassee for the MMM-2008 conference is Sunday (26 October 2008). There is also a homecoming event scheduled on Saturday (1 November 2008) following the conference. Therefore, conference participants will most likely not be able to stay past the 31st at any of the hotels listed below. The conference room rates for each hotel are only valid the following dates: 26 October through 31 October.

Taxi from the Tallahassee municipal airport to any of the downtown hotels costs approx. US$ 25.

Free parking is available in the parking lot of the Civic Center for all conference participants. The parking lot entrance is on West Pensacola Street (one way street). Please familiarize yourself with the area map before arriving. Blue arrows on the map indicate traffic directions. Click here for an aerial map.

Hotel Information

The room rates listed below are for any number of occupants. However, please let the hotel know how many individuals will be staying in each room. This way the correct number of beds will be allocated.

Let the hotel know that you are with the mmm2008 conference so that you get the special room rate. See each hotel's information listed below for their respective group code.

U.S. travelers, please be advised that the hotels listed below may offer government rate but that rate may be higher than the MMM-2008 rate that local organizers negotiated with the hotels. Please double check to get the best rate for yourself.
